Home / About Kitson Marketing, Inc.
Kitson Marketing, Inc. (KMI) was founded in 1987 by Robyn Kitson. In 1999, KMI opened a web application division called InTimeTools®, the brainchild of Stan Kitson. Since then, we have been bridging the communication, sales and marketing needs of our clients with streamlined database-driven technology tools designed to pull each client's overall business strategy forward.
Our specialized expertise is best suited for serving organizations in these two areas:
Our flagship system and software with Nonprofits is InTime IMPACT! which is designed to effectively measure OUTCOMES and IMPACTS. It is expandable to add functions for DONOR DEVELOPMENT and VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT.
Our trademark is that KMI will customize our system especially for your Nonprofit, while keeping it affordable and easy to use.
Working with Nonprofits is something that evolved for KMI over decades, as staff volunteered and served on various boards of nonprofit organizations. We have invested effort over the years into being a part of nonprofits in their development of programs, fund raising, seeking local, state and federal dollars, and in being accountable in fulfilling the mission their community needs and expects.
Our first web application system in 1999 was in the market niche of CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT (CRM). Since then the CRM industry has developed in strength worldwide and CRM has become mission-critical to businesses every where.
Ultimately, most systems offer similar functions and features. Where KMI is different is that we customize a system to fit your specific business process. We don't nickel and dime. We offer the whole package - system, software and service.
We entered the CRM web application market when it was brand new. And we were there because of what we learned on the front lines of catalog and trade show marketing. Huge amounts of marking dollars were invested into generating quality sales leads. However, prior to our CRM, we were not seeing leads effectively managed and distributed. So we came up with the software that would do just that.
Stan's key strengths are in problem-solving and analysis, which is one of the main reasons he enjoys working with leadership in both business and nonprofits in helping them make their metrics count. Stan has worked in marketing and sales for over 30 years, working with business and nonprofit clients in helping them grow by gathering information that points to what they are doing right...and where improvement or change of strategy might be needed. Stan introduced KMI to web application technology in 1999 with the start of InTimeTools® CRM. Prior to joining Kitson Marketing, Inc. in 1990, Stan worked as General Manager and Sales Manager for Madison radio.
Robyn has deep experience in developing marketing strategies and integrated communications plans, managing full implementation, and evaluating results. Kitson Marketing was founded by Robyn in 1987. She lead the agency in being a full-service off-site marketing department for both complex organizations and fast growing entrepreneurial companies. She learned the dynamics and detail of various client industries through self-study, research, key stakeholder interviews and on-going experience. It was the powers of web application technology to streamline systems that led to opening the web application division of Kitson Marketing in 1999. Today, she is particularly enjoying working with Nonprofits on the metrics for OUTCOMES and IMPACTS.
